Stephen Skinner

Stephen Skinner has written a number of aviation histories and articles.  His first book,  “BAC One-Eleven – the Whole Story”, published in 2002, received an excellent review in the Royal Aeronautical Society Journal.

The following year he published “Marshall of Cambridge” a history of this family-owned aviation and engineering firm, which found favour with aero-enthusiasts and local history readers alike.

The topic of his third book, Britain’s best-selling jet airliner, the BAe 146/RJ appealed to the author for although the last of its kind, the WhisperJet continues to represent the British Civil Aircraft industry as it quietly graces the skies.

His fourth book on "Wisley - Vicker's own airfield" is the product of much original research on this comparatively unknown but once busy and important manufacturer's airfield.

Stephen is Head of Marketing & Communications for a national organisation in London.  He lives in Bishop’s Stortford, Hertfordshire.
